Nurse Practitioners

Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner
We often have locum ANP clinics in practice. ANPs can deal with most patients requesting acute, same-day appointments that do not require GP contact. This more effective use of primary care services allows GPs to see patients with more complex health needs.

Practice Management

Mrs Sara Atkinson (f)
Practice Manager

The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Mr Richard Harland (m)
Team Leader

The team leader works very closely with the Practice Manager. They are available to speak to patients and can deal with most matters in the absence of the Practice Manager. They are responsible for ensuring the reception and admin departments run smoothly.

Administration

Our data administrators are an important part of this surgery. They work closely alongside the GP’s and other medical teams to ensure any referrals are done correctly and efficiently, booking appointments for patients at the GP’s request and attaching all incoming paperwork relevant to a patient into the patient’s medical records. They also make sure that all new patient notes are received and allocated.

Majority of our staff are trained in both Administration and Reception, this is to ensure that all departments are fully staffed to work effectively and efficiently caring for all our patients needs.

Reception

Reception Care Navigators
Reception Care Navigators provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.

Majority of our staff are trained in both Administration and Reception, this is to ensure that all departments are fully staffed to work effectively and efficiently caring for all our patients needs.
